I’m 43 pages into this book and already feel a wave of emotions and am on the brink of tears. I freaking love Fredrik Backman 😭

This book is… kinda boring. I’m gonna finish it, but I’m not super invested. Glad I didn’t buy the whole series like I usually do cause I don’t think I’ll be reading any more of these unless this one has some crazy ass ending.

It’s getting better I guess but I still have some QUALMS. Like… was I just tuned out at the beginning or am I right in saying the initial character development was not there? Like who are these people and why should I even care that they’re hooking up!? Anyway… I’m at half way and it’s fine. Hoping to finish today.

I’m… really not enjoying this book. I’m bored. Everything feels forced and like it’s happening too fast but also not happening at all? Everything is lining up too perfectly and the interactions between the two main characters and between Scarlett and Pen are not believable and just …. I’m just bored. Gonna power through but so far… not loving.
