Between escapism and reality, I am peppering in educational books because the idea of looking at the news or reading an article makes me sick to my stomach but I also don't want to be ignorant at the same time. I am in limbo. In Hell. And the devil/government is rping my arsehole. Goodbye.

Illuminating read.

Started this in B&N and gotta leave it here but tomorrow… damn I really hope to finish it

Oh my god I adore this book, this author has A VOICE and its phenomenal - every bit of this is breathtaking and I’m going to continue to finish this in one sitting! My instincts were right, as soon as I heard about this novel I was obsessed, and I’m so glad I grabbed the last copy!

It took a few chapters to get used to the stream of consciousness type narration, but I love horror that focuses on trauma and violence as the reason for hauntings. The author puts effort into showing misogyny and history of transitioning not just with gender but morally as well. However, I feel as if the author is giving the bigotry and sympathy for transphobia and etc. too much room.

Waterstones closed early so I only read 20 pages but… the writing is phenomenal and witchy and I love it. I hated the Practical Magic movie but the books… let’s find out!

Pretty good. The writing is nice, though I prefer the flashbacks to when the mother's art Hartland grieving the death of her mother. I think Addie is a very plausible character, interesting. However, at this point things seem like they're coming together unrealistically, dialogue is cringe-y, and I'm not sure how I feel about what will happen next. ??? Hopefully it'll be good?

I wish our mc wasn't so passive, I love that more than a half of the trio sisters are queer, and I thoroughly enjoy how creepy and beautiful the writing is... we stan

This is admittedly much better than I thought it would be. I do know about some of the problematic aspects in the coming books but as of what I've read... Tamlin and Lucien have my heart.

I'm enjoying my ( digital ) copy of The Book of Mythicality. I would rather much prefer the physical version as it is sometimes hard to see certain images or to zoom in on them, and it take away from the aesthetic, but the content is worth it. I have loved GMM for a very long time and I'm glad I have the chance to read this. It's everything I want.

Unfortunately, even with the lovely voice of my boyfriend who lulls me into happiness with the way he reads.. I have yet again reached the point of the book where I start to lose interest. I am hoping to get back into it, force myself to pick it back up no matter what, and see if my opinion changes at the end. It certainly didn't help that I was in the bath reading and almost passed out!! Yikes

It's pretty good so far, a little creepy. I think that some scenes are definitely a little... cliche and overwritten, such as when our main character first talked to Val ( I cringed ). But it's not bad, and I'm getting Jennifer's Body vibes! Also, who wouldn't love WLW?? Let's see where this goes, there's a lot of mystery!

I really enjoyed this one, a perspective of a girl coming into terms with asexuality and how she feels compared to her friends, and about her blossoming romantic relationship with someone. It was short but sweet and I adored the main character to bits!

This one was slightly better than the last. It had less of a confusing concept and the writing style was simple and easy to get used to. I really liked the main character Clara, but felt everything else was a little underdeveloped, despite probably having a number limit to the story as it is short stories. I do think that I would have loved to see a longer version!

I think that this story would have been better if it had been longer. I felt passionate for the characters, although extremely confused considering I didn't know anything about the origin until the author's note.

First reading it I couldn't get a grip on the writing style or characters, as everything came in like a punch. But it was good. Okay.

Getting towards the end I start recalling a lot of the details but I don't mind since I enjoy the characters. Will update with more as I finish!
