Apparently I have read this before. (Zero memory of that!) I have enjoyed many of PG’s historical fiction books about the Tudors. This one is about three sisters and the last Tudors except for Queen Elizabeth (Henry VIII’s daughter). It gets a bit long and detailed. But good writing.

Sad to write that I didn’t like this one very much. I have adored the Gamache series (all audiobooks for me) but these last two wolf books just did not interest me that much. I have always said the charm of Penny’s Gamache series is the villagers of Three Pines and the FOOD descriptions! Not nearly enough of those in this book.

I need to slow down my pace as I am getting close to being all caught up on Louise Penny books! What will I do then!?!

This one has a LOT going on all at once. Bouviour & Gamache revisit their first case involving children and sex trafficking. We also have a hidden room that is discovered above Myrna’s bookstore. It contains mysterious art work. Throw in a serial killer escape and there you have it!!

Such a moving memoir. Amanda has been through hell. This is her second book (watch me RUN to find the first!) - this one deals with her life after getting out of prison. She is a true inspiration!
