Jean is reading Murder in the Mystery Suite (Book Retreat Mysteries, #1)
This plot line waa just too outrageous for me to enjoy. It reminded me of storyline of a movie The Librarian. Saying that, it is probably a very good book for anyone who likes stories about guardians of treasure or screts.

Jean is reading Pushing Up Daisies (Tea Shop Cozy Mystery, #1)
I found the characters in this first book relatable and engaging. The mystery line and the roles each character has is more believable than many cozies. Look forward to reading next in series.

I loved this cozy series. I like some the books more than others but overall in feel they are well written and enjoyable. Interested in where they go once Ginger amd Basil are wed.
Very excited to start the series about Haley Higgins and meet the new character Call is Hawkins. Like the strong women characters

Jean is reading The Escape (John Puller, #3)
I really like Baccardi's writing style. Normally I don't like books with military main characters and national security issues but pullen seems relatable and the story not as over the top is most. I really like the way his character is developed. Since I found this series of read the 1st 3 very quickly and hope there it is a 4th R will be. Look forward to reading some of his other books.

Jean is reading Storm Front (The Dresden Files, #1)
I found this series of Butcher enjoyable and great fun. Although I never got interested in his furies books, the Dresden files are one of my favorite reads. Dresden is somewhat a sexist, but i think Butcher's female characters are usually strong and more than a match for him. Storm Front is the first in the Dresden series. I started re reading while reading for his next book.

Mr Monk is one of my guilty pleasures. I always seem to enjoy Goldberg's books and this one was no exception. If you liked the show, you'll enjoy this book.
