This is one of those books that takes a lot more mental effort to comprehend, but it also may be because I'm listening to it whilst at the gym instead of reading a physical copy

The whole middle section, whilst I have some education in physics, was a lot of words and sentences that didn’t mean anything. But! I’m now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel

The first 1/3 of this book was an easy breezy read, and now I’m in the trenches of physics theories trying to grasp at what is being said with just my high school physics education. Nonetheless I’m enjoying it! I’m too tired

It’s kinda nice to come back to this type of stuff and refine what I know, like actually comprehend the stuff my physics teacher was trying to teach me

I started this as an Audiobook and my audible subscription ended and I just never renewed it...guess I have to find the audiobook somewhere else or buy the book now

It is so interesting reading Snow’s origin story. Because we already know who he is, who he turns into. So reading him as this baby face, naive, scared, and trying to be righteous kid really does illustrate human nature and how people change, how villains are just as much human as the heroes

I think this is because I just finished The Hunger Games that’s written in first person, but this feels a little impersonal…less impactful. I feel removed from what’s happening, whereas The Hunger Games made it feel personal. Plus there’s the fact that I couldn’t put the book down (I read the entire series back to back) compared to this book where I’m feeling ok by setting it aside for a bit

What I’m learning is that whilst the movies are phenomenal, like all books, you really get to know the characters wayyy more reading their story (especially since it’s Katniss’s POV)

forgot I was reading this…I started it in 2021…it’s almost 2024…

it’s just not giving

I’m a third way through the book and the main characters have only just met…

Hmmm…it’s good but I’m not sure I’m vibing it. It’s not giving off enough…desperation as most marriage of convenience books do

Idk why this is taking me so long, it’s a good read

I really like this book. It’s based on Paige and Preacher, but it jumps around to like four others stories. The pacing is a little slow, I’m finding it hard to get through these later chapters since I’m kinda burnt out with everything that’s going on. Like I said before, the jumping to different storyline’s within is good, but I feel like it’s over done, and I’m getting overwhelmed trying to keep up
