i fully expected feyre to end up with rhys, but after the first book & how in love she was with tamlin, i honestly didn’t think maas could convince me that she’d call off the wedding & choose someone else. maas shows how different feyre’s life would be with tamlin versus rhys & what each of them actually offers her, & i’m happy with how this was handled since it easily could’ve ruined the book for me.

Reading goals for this year:
1) **Read the book BEFORE looking at reviews on Goodreads.** Looking at reviews and criticisms warps my opinions of the book and I just want to know where I stand in comparison to everyone else.
2) **Read at least two classics.** ideally, The Picture of Dorian Gray and Emma.
3) **Allow myself to DNF after 100 pages.**
