Our last book of this year's re-readathon. We're into the post-Dawn days, and though I know I have read this before, I don't really have much memory of it. Here's hoping we go out on a high!

A reprint of her final Loveswept novel, which I didn't realize when I picked this up.

The week at work is going to suck, a lot, so I'm reaching for the gothic romances like a dying man in the desert.

YIPE, I have to return this book to the library by Monday. I can't believe it wasn't eligible for renewal!!

Chapter 3 - Melancholy (depression). Not a type of delusion, and mercifully not a 50-page chapter, either 😒

Chapter 2 - delusion of conspiracy/paranoia

A random library find whilst waiting to get my Covid booster for the year. Sometimes these are the best books ever, and sometimes there's a reason they are hidden away in the stacks LOL.

Book #2 is much better than Book #1 - at least the characters made sense, sort of. The Fiers finally get a descendent with some sense, who tries to end the curse and put the past behind him by burying the amulet, only for his fourth-generation granddaughter to dig the damn thing back up and stir things up again. Talk about not being able to leave well enough alone!!

Totally going the lazy/efficient route this week and combining my two reading challenges on one book: namely, book #2 in this trilogy, "The Secret." I'll save my annual gothic romance for a week when I'm not quite so squeezed for time!

The "main event" of this year's nostalgia re-readathon, as it were. I have the omnibus edition, from the library, that was re-published in 2015. *fingers crossed* that it has not been half-assed updated like the other reprints of the OG Fear Street series!!

It's just not a nostalgia re-readathon without some quality SVU! This cover just slays me, LOL.

Plus: I've read this author before and enjoyed her work

Minus: the main characters' names are Brandt and Berkley, WTAF

SuperWendy has raved about JKJ's work, so despite my misgivings with the SuperRomance line, I'm going to give this a try!

Beautiful! And now I want to turn right around and start book #1 again, LOL. Full review to come.

This is a very odd book. I've read the whole thing - even re-read some parts - but I still feel like I'm missing something...

A strange read so far, and we're falling fast into magical negro territory, which is not something I ever thought I'd say about a Pike novel LOL.

We're doubling out Christopher Pike fun in this year's nostalgia re-readathon!

I was absolutely stunned to win an ARC from Netgalley. This is the last of the Blessings series, so I am anticipating it to be both amazing and a little sad.

The 2025 nostalgia re-readathon has begun! I'm already behind, LOL, but luckily we are starting with a banger and it won't take me long to catch up.

September 2025 #TBRChallenge - Friend Squad

Friend groups immediately makes me think YA, so I grabbed a vintage novel (originally published by Dell Comics!). This should dovetail nicely into the nostalgia re-readathon which starts this week, too - win-win!!

Unrelentingly grim, ugh. This is certainly not the Tokyo Metropolitan Police's greatest moment.
