January 2026 #TBRChallenge - Still Here

I just *love* these kids!

One of my mini-challenges for the year is to re-read the Blessings series, one book per month. Goodness knows I could use some cheer right about now!

Because I am a sucker for my parents' childhood as well as my own, apparently...

This seems like an appropriate way to start off 2026.

If my ex-husband and my ex-fiancé made a bet over my ability to win a competition, even when I was loudly protesting them dragging me into their pissing match, I'd light both of them on fire and leave them to burn.

A delightful read thus far, and I kinda wish there weren't a few dark secrets hanging around to ruin the festive mood thus far.

Read the first story, "The Blue Bird," which is a a French literary fairy tale by Madame d'Aulnoy. I enjoyed it a lot!

I have a ton of Virginia Heath books on Mount TBR, and this is a reader-favorite that has been reissued several times, so what better place to start than here?

Enjoying this so far, but there has been exactly zero Christmas so far, LOL
