Started this book today, quick reading so far. It realistically depicts the precariousness of budding relationships and the petty jealousies that can get in the way and endanger the bond. Backdrop is a booze-ridden, cigarette littered, weed and coke laced Yale campus.

I like the philosophical musings that seem to be a hallmark of French literature. Treated myself to a sushi lunch and read some more of this re-read. If I can find my other copy I think I'll return it to BookBeat for store credit.

Holy Shit. I looked up the book description on this site and saw a different cover than the one I have. Turns out I bought and read this book years ago and just bought the different-cover re-issue! The other version must be buried in the boxes of books I don't have displayed on the shelf. I used to make fun of Cassandra for doing this kind of shit! Damn! I'm going to read it again anyway :-/
