"Ghost are Catholic, and it will not reflect well on the Southerby family."

I love the mix or modern ridiculousness and historicaly accurate nonsense. Truly have missed having a good funny book.

So far its good, but I'm going to be a bit insufferable since I'm the biggest Austen fan.

How are you gonna go to London and back in a day, huh Oliver?! YOU HAVE NO HORSE TO SPARE! Biking would take six hours, and you had no bike! They weren't a thing yet!

Author, please, the fair was a great idea, but how are you going to have it take place in London? Oliver is not visiting his Aunt and Uncle here.

baaa baaa baaaa

Very euro-centric, but I knew that going into it. Still a nice and fast sheep focused book. I'm looking forward to reading books dedicated to the actual wool material next.

Also, such a small tidbit about the Navajo Churo, but I'm so glad it was mentioned at all. Now i know why the Flag Wool festival has a horned sheep as its logo! I used to think it was a goat.

There are only three emotions surrounding this book:

1- Brain rotting fluffy cuteness

2- NSF: ALIEN SEX, ALIEN PORN, HAIR TENTACLES, ABO SIMILARITIES

3- Can ya'll be serious for once? It's a freaking crime scene. This is some unrealistic stupidity. WHERE IS YOUR MANAGER?! Karen rant

I'm really in the mood for easy to digest Victorian monsters lately. I imagine this is what others feel like when they want to read cheesy beach romance books. I just prefer fantasy elements.

12 - Twincest. And so much placed blame. 0 stars

13- I have nothing to say about this one other than it's not for me. 2 stars.

14- Long and not interesting. 1 stars for some imagination but not sexy.

15- WTF. Ok yes this was DARK and erotic. But whhhyyyyy. I'm very uncomfortable with how the author portrayed all the black men in this story. NO No NO. I can't rate this one.

10/15 - BDSM from a bough girl. I'm not averse to reading it but the language used was not my cup of tea. 2 stars.

11/15 - Ah, some weird stuff finally. Not the best storywise, left allot hanging and was not very interested to know what exactly had happened. Which means a failure of intrigue. But it was ACTUAL dark erotica, so 3 stars.

8/15 Lmao this is one of my fav tropes. 4 stars just because I like the basic idea.

9/15 This is the chauvinistic reversal of the magical virgin trope. Not erotic, but well written. OMG he fell in love and lost his power?! What a sacrifice! Blah. One star.

6/15 Having a witch in the story does not mean your story is dark. Also the narrator sound 10, not 15-16. I felt deeply uncomfortable by how childish the narrator's voice was. Not the voice actress, she's obviously played as an older woman reminiscing, but the actual words feel very young. One star.

7/15 Maybe my def of dark is different because WHY is this here. So he likes dominate partners. One star.

4/15 Why is this here? Its a basic exhibition story, nothing dark or new about it. No stars.

5/15 Basic fanfiction plot. I've read millions of diff variations of this same story. Honestly kinda boring, the last BakuDeku fanfic I read that had the similar empty house and demon/spirit plot was MUCH hotter and darker. This was pretty vanilla in all honesty. Points for clothing that moves! 2 Stars.

3/15 Ehhh... would have made a great first chapter, some sort of mystery you want to know more about, but by itself its just dissatisfying. The whole thing is a mystery, nothing is explained at all, but the mystery itself doesn't even give enough clues to be interesting. There was also no tension at all. Negative stars.

1/15 Eh not sexy, more depressing than anything else. One star.

2/15 Sexy! Gorgeous sensual language, I'm just not a fan of the french revolution and hate reading it romanticized. Both sides were nasty-ugly-rotten and I can't ever feel great about a story involving it. But the intrigue of the rose and the evil seduction made this good. Doesn't help that I loved Camille and this reminded me of it. Three stars.

omg, this scene... the garbage stench and guts scene... this is the first time a book has made me want to throw up.

I already knew Hendrix was good at the gross stuff, I've been a victim of their graphic descriptions before... but THIS one. UGH.

jEEZ I didn't expect this book to be an odd mirror of current events yet here we are. I'm honestly not having as much fun as I would have with this book maybe five years ago. I mean, the book is great! It's just religious fanatics, overly drawn our electorial race, and a highly dangerous contagion are not subject matters I particularly enjoy at the moment. That's what I get for blind reading.

Does anyone know any book/series similar to Lockwood & Co. I'm not talking necessarily the plot, but instead the relationship between characters. I love a good friend group, it's honestly why i was invested in HP as a kid, and Lockwood & Co is just my ticket. I need soft happy reads during this pandemic. I really miss my friends.
