Reading in the original Chinese as part of an attempt to get a better grasp of the language. The slowness of my progress is a sobering reminder of how much I have let my Chinese atrophy.
The first chapter discusses 人民, which can be translated as 'People', but perhaps more appropriately as 'Citizens' in the context of the 1989 pro-democracy protests as experienced and reflected upon by the author.
