250 pages in, a week in book time after the title character dies (not a spoiler, the death is in the book jacket), and law enforcement is speculating on murder without any indication of autopsy. WTF? And I thought the title character was maddening.

I don’t know, y’all. I knew this book was long, but I didn’t know how much bloat I’d be skimming. Don’t know if I’ll manage to finish.
