Took about 30ish pages to get truly going, but now I’m hooked. Fairytale charming— makes me excited to see the film adaptation!

What a beast of a story. It’s packed with rich world building. After the first 100 pages, I’ve been hooked.

Easily one of my favourite fantasy reads ever.

After an infection, I lost the ability to comprehend reading. I’d read & forget it instantaneously. The longer & more complex the prose, I actually couldn’t even read it.

It’s taken a year/so of brain training with kids books to get it back. I’m enjoying this so much, I’m almost grateful for what happened, otherwise, I may have missed this story altogether

Sick and bed bound… So naturally I take the opportunity to have a long overdue read before diving into the apple adaptation. Got to say, I’m really enjoying it!

Soooo soo good!! I’m enjoying this as much as I enjoyed Six Crimson Cranes. Lim’s writing is truly exquisite and this world is so vibrant.

I understand the decreasing rating on Goodreads… it’s not bad, but it’s not great either.

Fermín is one of the funnest character’s I’ve ever read. Oh, and he also made me teary.

More than halfway baby!! This has felt epic to read/listen to, I love the Priory world, the characters and story are interesting… Its amazing how such a big book has felt both long but thoroughly enjoyable with everything having its place.

Truly rich world building and intriguing characters, but damn is it a test of my memory to remember the names of all the places and people popping up through the multiple POV… really enjoying Shannon’s writing as well as the overall story so far!

Even though this reminds me of a couple other YA/fantasy stories, it’s unexpectedly fun

Are you feeling lonely? Well these kids in their 30s are also lonely and are making this reader feel less lonely… it’s so FLUFFY!!!

Menacing and twisty… Absolutely loving this so far. It’s perfect for fans of The Handmaid’s Tale and Laura Purcell’s work, just infused with more fantasy. A real pleasant surprise, I cant believe it’s a debut!

Personally aggrieved I have not had a mysterious man leave me 42 billion dollars in money and assets, subsequently making me an heiress… it’s just cruel

Not even near finished and I can safely tell you this is the best conclusion to any YA series I’ve read over the years, if not simple the best ever!

This… this was worth the revised benefit of the doubt. I like where this has led. Yes the alcoholism bothers the shit out of me but Sager’s actually not made it a major write off by other characters. Definitely much better than Survive the Night!

Even before the half way mark, I knew this is a favourite read of 2022. Maybe even in my favourite reads *ever*. I’m not even finished and I already want to reread it. I LOVE this *so* much 💕💕💕💕
