Way cool! Love it!

Read the entire book during a 1.62 mile walk today. Since I was in high school back in the mid 90s I’ve been interested in the Holocaust. Schindler’s List being probably my favorite movie. Powerful and raw. Today I learned more about the Holocaust, the movie, and Oskar. I’m part French, German, Polish and some others. I always wonder if my ancestors were there. The book captivated me and I love it.

I loved this! Even with 30 pages left I didn’t have the story figured out. Even with 15 pages left I was left not knowing. At the end I closed the book with a big smile on my face. Author did an amazing job keeping me on my toes and I felt so many emotions from the characters.

I’ve always loved Gene Hackman as an actor. So about two months ago I learned that he’s an author. I picked up this book not really knowing what I’m getting within the pages. In reading the book I got much of what I’ve read in other kidnapping books. Gene held my attention, had me feel emotions with characters, had my thinking I knew what would happen. Well I was wrong in the end. And that is a good thing. Love it!
