Got this from the library yesterday and read these first ten pages in the waiting room at the dentist today ... I have wanted to read this ever since watching Suki Kim's TEDtalk on YouTube, and have high expectations for it. I actually have no idea why North Korea has become the way it is, so hopefully I'll learn something new.

I watched the movie based on this book several years back and was completely captured by the very original, adventurous and funny story. I soon discovered that it was based on a book, and it has been on my reading list ever since. Would that I had discovered the book first, but it is an enjoyable story anyway. Liking the read so far.

Alright, so I decided to pick up my shiny special edition of TFIOS after finishing The Scorch Trials the day before yesterday. I've just read the first chapter, and it is promising. And I really like Hazel's reaction when she thought she discovered Gus smoked. It it totally the reaction I wish I had, when I discover that people that I otherwise think I like, smoke, because it really is a hamartia.
