My goal last year was to diversify my genres and I think I accomplished that! However this coming year, we're just going to work on tackling my physical tbr of fantasy books that I put on the back burner last year 😂 The list is incredibly long now...

I am so disturbed omg😭 I’m listening to it in audio format in public and trying to keep my expressions in… I’m going to need to buy this in physical copy

“But he won’t touch you again” is crazy. Why am I gasping at romance in a YA horror? How did I end up choosing another book where the characters likely won’t end up together😭

It seems I always read in chunks of 200ish pages when I pick up this series😅 I’m both excited and scared to finish it tomorrow when I wake up😭

Welp. I cried. I’m going to bed bc it’s the end of part 2 and there is no way I would be able to fall asleep if I stayed up to finish it. I already know that after I finish it, I’ll want to immediately go to book 3 and/or look up discussions on book 2

I’m not even halfway through this book and I am going through it. How in the world does this entire book feel like the last 50 pages of a fantasy book???? She has me gasping for one reason or the other every few pages. My emotions are on a rollercoaster ride.

How does it just keep getting worse😭

I am so annoyed that I have to stop bc I’m an adult and I need to work so I need to sleep and it’s upsetting.

These descriptions are horrific and it’s 1am and there’s no way I’ll be able to sleep any time soon. I should’ve stopped when part 2 ended😬

Omg I have this talk with people all the time😭 As the audience, I think we should attempt to view it in the lens of whoever created the media. This is something you notice if you speak more than one language and consume works from other languages, ie anime, Asian dramas, K-pop, novellas, etc. There’s so much that gets lost in translation and it makes me always want to learn the languages of media I consume.

The barb😭 “it was a vow I intended to keep to a woman, not a bride made of flowers…” This hurts so good. This entire book makes you feel as if you’re sitting at the edge of a cliff, dangling your feet over the ledge, looking down at the water, feeling yourself tip over, but not wanting to steady yourself. It’s the constant anticipation of what comes next.

“His flower bride was never real at all, but he didn’t care because she had been made to please him.” I am obsessed. I am the target audience of this genre and I eat it up every time😭</spoiler>

The writing is so beautiful that I’m almost upset about it because what am I supposed to do… how can I possibly tag it every 2-3 pages when I come across a particular sentence🧍‍♀️

I made a mistake. I should’ve put this book down when I told myself I would 100 pages ago because now how in the world am I supposed to stop with about 80 to go😭 I should go to sleep… I should.
