This is my first Harvey book though I’ve been familiar with the author for several years. Are all her books this unbearably cheesy and unbelievable? Daisy is annoying beyond measure and unrealistic; do you really think this abandoned baby, you, and Mason can be some happy family weeks after meeting this guy?

This is a snooze so far. It just drags. Does it get better or do I DNF?

I feel like I’m reading the nurse’s perspective of MASH - this is essentially just pages written with spins from the sitcom.

Two minutes in and I have a feeling that this spew of clichés pop music and dance parties for work teams is not going to be my cup of tea.

This is just dragging and so incredibly boring. I tried the audiobook to see if that would help, but unfortunately, having watched the series, I have those voices in my head.

Snooze fest thus far … would DNF if it wasn’t for a book club.

I’m only 15% in I can see this is less about the names and more about the life as a result of how Cora handles her DV situation. Marketed as a “controlling husband” is a gross understatement.

9 chapters in and I do not like Veronica’s children nor her ex-husband. This may be tough to get through.

So far … not impressed. Not digging the ideological undertones.
Maybe I just prefer British authors in the cozy mystery genre. While the blurb compares this to Thursday Mystery Club, this, thus far, is falling way short.

Underwhelming thus far, but it’s great for insomnia and will lull you to sleep.
Juniper is a total brat and somehow all the adults allow this 10 year old to manipulate them.
