This book is really interesting; equal parts art book and mythology primer, I am really like these quick little intros. After a 7 month hiatus, my brain is still struggling a bit with the concentration needed for the task, but this is the perfect book for bite sized little readings to help retrain my brain.
Today's stories included: Anansi, White Buffalo Woman, Crane Wife, The Little Mermaid, and Timbo Tree

I have been dealing with a lot of reading anxiety the last few months, but I still plan on finishing this book by the end of the year!

Cant say I've read much horror; just a couple of stories here abd there. And this story is only just good right now. It is just getting into the creepier stuff, abd i like the discourse on ghost shows, but I'm still not quite getting it. I do like the cult vibes on getting from this store though

Not sure where I stand with this one so far. On the one hand, I really love the relatable quality to the retail atmosphere and the main character, but there is just something not quite clicking with me on this one. Maybe it's just that I don't find pooped or other mysterious substances being wiped on a couch all that scary.

Decided to take a break from lux and jump into some spooky reads for Halloween

I love that we're actually getting into some action; summarized action sure, but action nonetheless. There's been a lot of great character work throughhout this novel, but not nearly enough plot,

I honestly don't know what the F*** I just read. I'm intrigued, but I'm wary, but honestly, what is this f***ing book? What is this town?

I'm torn; part of me really likes the Top GUn, team bonding sequence (sans jean shorts and beach volleyball). It was great to get deeper insight into all of the characters (and get freaked out by Kairos). Part of me found it a bit too slow.

Weird start, and I think the weirdest part so far is no one is really weirded out about the weird stuff. I don't know how I feel about it yet, but I am intrigued.

Time for SPOOKTOBER, and I'm going all out this year. All Horror comics, and once I'm done with my current superheroey, sci-fiey stories, all horror audiobooks and books!
