I love how this story progresses — not predictable but at the same time when something manifests the earlier details in the book start to make sense.

I genuinely can’t predict the plot, but everything that’s happened so far isn’t too surprising. No real complaints so far.

This book deserves to be DNF’d lol but I’m going to persevere cause I’m listening to this on audiobook. Very much a cringy fanfiction of the author & I’ll leave it at that…

Okay it did get interesting, but still reads like a fanfiction. If I wasn’t listening to the audiobook I totally might have started scrolling/scanning through certain sections lol.

I’m going to be sooo honest 💀 I really don’t see the attraction between Rowan & Aelin. People rave about it so I’m hoping the chemistry grows but idk seems too… fabricated? I don’t really understanding the shift from “I’m the reason my mate died” to “Aelin is my forever love interest”… but idk I think their chapters are just boring at the moment.

Aedion is lowkey getting on my nerves!!!!! Also I miss Lorcan & Manon’s (separate) storylines cause they’re definitely more interesting than Aelin’s 😬, but maybe that’s just me.

finally!!! I honestly don’t know if we’re supposed to like Violet’s sister, but she’s giving off bad vibes. Also Dain needs to politely remove himself from the plot please :)! Whenever he enters a scene it’s like a jump scare tbh. I’m just like take a hint and go do literally anything else thx 😭!

I have a feeling that Violet is going to mess something up and then blame Xaden’s secrecy for it, but who knows.
