I am getting bored lol he's detailing stuff about 'hagiology' which is, of course, dull in itself.

Pleasantly surprised by this. I thought this would be some sort of fantasy, but it's exactly the opposite!

So relatable! For those who have loved. And lost. lol

Started a few pages and the writing comes off as mediocre, so I am not sure if this is worth it. We'll see.

This is best consumed as a movie. The writing is very weak, and the concept at the end is it's saving grace, if at all. Childish. Lol

I thought I'd be plunging into trippy unrelatable territory with this, but it's actually funny and insightful. I bet du Maurier had so much fun writing this.

So corny I am having a hard time completing

I am annoyed by the writing style and I hope this will be all worth it when I'm done. It is contrived. The themes and concept are very good and probably the only things going for it.

I've been trying to read this, and then put it off because I got distracted by a Lie With Me movie clip, then I decided to read the book and got hooked and finished it first.

I will probably re-read Spider just so I can study great writing.

Going along for the ride here, not sure if it's gonna be worth it. It is somewhat interesting and readable so we'll see.

It feels like an excuse for the author to write smut with a 'Victorian' veil. Not digging this at this moment . . .

Yikes it's getting pretentious! The use of 'parse' at least twice now to pertain to understanding what someone said.
