I’m enjoying this book much more than I was before. There is occasionally some of the typical YA Fantasy Romance cheesiness still, but not like the first 5 chapters. So far this book reminds me slightly of a mix between “Shadow and Bone”, “Tiger’s Curse” & “The Hunger Games”. Definitely not a quick read, but very intriguing so far. I’m getting more & more drawn into their world as I progress.

I have not read a book like this in a long time. I’ve been on more of a thriller & nonfiction streak lately. So far the book seems promising, but the first 4/5 chapters were a little cheesy at times. Maybe it’s part of this particular genre that I have forgotten? Maybe less about the guy without his shirt on? I can definitely say that it’s becoming more interesting & harder to put down the further I get into it

Well, I was really into this book until I hit page 141. It was pretty creepy and even had chills a couple of times (which is really rare for me, as not much creeps me out when reading). Now it has gone from super creepy to super weird. I'm not sure if I even like this book anymore, but I feel that I must keep on reading... maybe just to get it over with??? Ugggg! I had such high hopes!

Gets better and better! So far it does not have "I can't put this book down" feel as her first two. But it definately is a good book so far!

Starting to get good and bad at the same time. The current day story is pretty boring but the story of the past is intriguing

So far this book has my complete attention. An old house, a creepy child, a 114 year old woman, a mental illness, and a suicide. What more could you ask for? On a side note the author,s flow of words could be better. The writing style is a little sloppy. We shall see.......
