Still super duper good, has me wanting to do more of a deep-dive into church history and the pre-reformation dissenters/debates against the Catholic church.

Learning so much about the history of the reformation and why it took place.

“Botany CAN be taken too far” indeed!

“I wait on the shore of the mystery to see what the tide will bring.” Oh how I love Hawkes

“Hold your tongue, man” Okayyyy Mr. Pierce!!!

The lack of Appalachian/West Virginian cultural knowledge is distracting so far but it’s still enjoyable

This story has a sociopathic pirate and a misogynistic captain but somehow the person I have the most beef with is a 13-year-old girl. Still having a good time though

5 hours in to a 35 hour audiobook… 😮‍💨 But the Realm of the Elderlings series pulls me in again!

Small spoiler but lab-created diamonds are still genuine diamonds. This author keeps running with the myth that they aren’t but they definitely are. They could have just said it was white sapphire or mossianite or something instead and gotten the point across.

If I have to hear Kamran’s little sniveling, cowardly voice one more time complain about Cyrus I’m going to crash out

Fun ya read so far but it feels odd that a middle eastern ya fantasy romance is narrated by an proper older british lady. 🤷‍♀️
