I’m crying here on the second page of the Introduction.

A great beginning then falls off the cliff. An interesting story destroyed by ridiculous dialogue and silly behavior of what should have been mature individuals.

I originally started this book in the spring of 2020, but COVID was rampant and I could not get past the first few Spanish flu pages. So a year and half later I started over and am now progressing past the Spanish flu section.

The house is creepy. No getting out of it. Not too fond of the characters either. The plot is interesting, tho. Murder mystery, who done it. Lots of suspects.

Good descriptions of the cabinets and contents, but not so much of all the characters as yet. I am anxious to get out of that house.
