The first quarter is much more pacey than the first book.

Half way through yet it continues to feel as if the foundations of the plot are still being laid out. Nonetheless, it's engrossing.

The plot doesn't seem to be in a hurry to unfold.

It's got my interest but the author's previous books were intriguing from the outset. This is still laying out the foundation.

I can't remember the last time I DNF....Then again, I can't remember a book as awful as this.

Not impressed. Hoping the next 80% isn't as uneventful.

In a regular police procedural section of the book where Tommen's amateur cohorts are absent. I like this much better but no doubt they'll reappear and reduce the enjoyment again

Great premise but the police investigation is woefully implausible

Nothing in the way of intrigue yet. However, there's plenty of themes that are repeated from the previous four books in the series and the series the author co-writes with Patrick Graham.

Just finished chapter two that was all about poetry. I bored.....

The plot is slowly developing. The visits to the psychiatrists are a bore, as they always have been throughout the series.

So far, in this short book, Jon has become a dog owner and is flying over to Seatle. Um, that's all there is to tell.

Books #1 and #2 were very similar. This has a new, fresh feel to it although it's somewhat stuck in second gear.

This books demands that you keep on reading. Hope it continues.

Can't put this book down. From page one of had me engrossed.

It's quite funny in parts but it's also a rather sluggish start.

Like the start. A real sense of helplessness for the young heroine.

There is a lot that could be stripped out of the book to keep up the momentum. The romance has made a dreaded appearance and is hindering the suspense.. The plot is ok so far.

Promising start. Suspense is building nicely

Really struggling with this. A lot of side characters and I can't keep up with who they are; nor do I like them much. Their interactions seem a little unrealistic.

Nearing the end but the unsub is still unidentified. Like this book and very pleased there's a few more to come in this series.

Good start with an immediate plot forming. Likable characters that engage well.

Can't wait for this book to end.

Hard work

I was reeled in after the opening chapters. After that I simply had no choice but to keep turning the pages and accept I was hooked on this book.

A little complicated in parts but still enjoyable.

If you want mystery, look no further.

Can't put this book down. The intrigue and suspense sucks you in.
