The magic system and world are so cool but the entire plot relies on everyone except possibly Gio only being marginally smarter than your average mango?

200 pages in. 0 idea what's going on.
Can't put it down.

Are Lin and Jovis in a competition to find out who can learn the least in the course of novel? Insufferable levels of stupidity 😭

The story is interesting but this writing is such a struggle 😭

This is me praying the book isn't the same scene from multiple POVs the whole way through and that the author doesn't feel like she needs to belabour every point. 😫
(The first one did improve as it went along, hoping this one is the same.)
