Then, Owen begins by walking through the structure of Romans 8:13. He is setting the stage for understanding the nature of sanctification, mortification, and reality of our safety in Christ (this mortification will not bring salvation; it is a certain occurrence, by the Spirit, BECAUSE of our station before Him).
