I started reading this book without realizing it is book #2 of the series.

Lily’s ex Ryle seems way too controlling and needs to restrained. From what I’ve read so far, I don’t know if I would want to read book #1 but I do have a feeling Atlas is much healthier for her.

The structure at the beginning of the book really captured me. And when I got to the part where The Book of Regrets popped up, I felt it. When Nora began living other versions of her life she thought was going to be better, I thought they were going to end up great too. But I guess the reality is the version of life we are living in right now will always be the best versions of ourselves.

All I want is a quiet life with you, a home to grow sunflowers in summer and carrots in fall. I want to hold your hands, to love you with ask my being and grow old with you… but I can’t have any of this without a war.

Favorite quotes:
Page 215, “Maybe the truth is scary because it’ll ruin the fairytale we’re trying so hard to fit into, but maybe neither of us can fulfill our parts because we’re not meant to love so poetically. Maybe fate has it that our story is meant to unfold like a storm.”

I purchased the digital version back in November 2021 and finally had time to start reading it.

Favorite quotes:
Page 165: “Our house is not far from here. I recreated this forest for you so you will not miss your home. Now that you’re with me, things will be different, but I will always do my best to continue and expand this place for you.”

Examples are refreshing to help distinguish between fixed and growth mindset but the ideas can be very repetitive once you’re in the middle of Chapter 2.
