Okay, now I’m bored. I finished the most boring spicy scene I’ve ever came across. There are too much pointless conversations in this book. The 1st book flew by. It had so much action. This book is slow. It’s like the author wanted to stretch it out to make it two books instead of one.

Given there is a second book, the ending of the 1st book doesn’t really end on a cliffhanger.

This book has started out a little slow. Her secret unravels and we see how everyone reacts to the news and what happens in the end. We know several characters have to win for their lively hood. So, the ending is predictable…yet.

Lots of character development. It’s starting to slow down but it’s still interesting.

This is such a good story. So far no spice (most of my book are heavy on the spice) but I know care. This book is an exception. At 52% I cried a little. Getting to 60% now. I’ve have this done today.

So far this is amazing. Spice happens early on but it makes sense. 2 college athletes who, we know through mental dialogue, are confused about themselves and their sexuality. It’s rare to find a book that’s spicy with a great plot. I hope it stays with way!

I’m praying that the rest of this audiobook is as amazing as the first 23%. I loved the first book but didn’t like the second. This is fast paced and spicy. Interesting plot too.

I’m only 36% in and my earbuds are glued to my ears. Nothing spicy has happened yet but soon. I love the professor/student trope.

King…I hate him and I hurt for him. Nathan is amazing. I get why he lets King push and pull him due to his insecurities that stems from their relationship when he was 17.

This is my 3rd attempt. I kept starting and stopping because Rain is such an unlikable character. 45% in and I still don’t like him but now that I’m hitting the spicy scenes I can’t say I don’t like his dirty talk 🥵. I love when author can get a steamy scene right. Long and graphic. I’m dying over here.

Part 4. Part 3 was quick but full of important information and emotion.

I’m at Part 3. At first I thought there were only 2 parts. part 2 effortlessly rolls into part 3. My heart is in a vice. I don’t want this book to end!

It’s great to have characters act their age. Tracien (the FMC) is 18 and she acts like a naive 18 year old girl.

This is the slowest of slow burns. I’m not use to this from Nyla K. I’m finally and a steamy-ish scene. No full on spice yet, but how this story is hold leaves the readers at the edge of their seats waiting and waiting. The relationship develops naturally, which makes this feel more taboo. I respect Nyla K’s wishes in not posting spoilers.

9 hours in. This is different than what I’m use to from Nyla K. So far, it’s a very slow burn. However, she’s such an amazing writer. I can stop listening. The narrators are fantastic!

Larissa is such a strong woman yet she’s so desperate for Tyler to have sex with her. She practically begs him a handful of times and he always turns her down until now. (52% in) How can such a strong and beautiful woman be so desperate for someone to just have sex with her. This makes zero sense. Why didn’t she give up the second time?

At the end of Severed Heart, Tyler is heartbroken. At the beginning of this book, Tyler is completely different. There was no progression in his character. As much as I love this new version of Tyler, I’m having a hard time connecting with him since it seems like Tyler is a completely different person. It doesn’t feel like a duet but a standalone.

Tyler walks into the house seeing Delphine throwing plates. Tyler asks what’s wrong she says “ I hate her”. Here I am wondering who could she hate with so much passion? Then the bomb drops when she says “The woman who gets to have you after me. The woman who deserved you all along. That will give you children, I hate her.”

This is a must in audio. This isn’t what I expected. This landed in my TBR because it’s a MMF. There is was something that gave me pause. I love that that this book is about two relationships. One is the group dynamic but the group dynamic issues are caused by the relationship between the two MCs. One MC wants the other and while the does too he can’t bring himself to take the leap.

The full cast narration is fantastic! I highly recommend the audiobook.

The summary isn’t accurate. I hate that. There isn’t a love triangle.

I love the Femme Fatale is my favorite unless the female hands the reins to the male during the book.

Twin mom who loves contemporary smutty romance books. The spicier the better!! I prefer audiobooks unless I’m not fond of the narrator(s) then I’ll read on my Kindle.
