DNF, too formula and I just couldn’t get involved with any of the characters

DNF. I had such high hopes for this book and hung in for quite some time before I had to abandon. I simply could not find the rhythm of the story.

I take away some knowledge about the real life of the Brontes and will continue ie to return to their books when I want to immerse myself in the English language.

So disappointed.

DNF. I had great hopes and I hung in there for a good long time but simply got bogged down and couldn’t find a rhythm at all.

I will take away a small insight into the real world of the Brontes and continue to read them.

Could not finish, it just did not grab me

Tracy Chevalier never disappoints. Her ability to capture the essence of her characters makes her historical novels worthy of your reading time.

Power reading - this is the second go round.....have to refresh so I can dive into Written in My Own Hearts Blood next week....this summer is turning into a very, very good reading summer

I have just finished Part 1...there is a reason why this book hit so many 'best of' lists for 2013 - go buy it! read it! Going to leave it behind while I travel and look forward to picking up where I left off when I return

I am setting this book aside - about 60 pgs in....not feeling it - perhaps it's just time for something different and will try again later

Book 2 is done, I love this modern day Anne of Green Gables.....

Have finished Book 1 of the 3 Book.....I love Flavia!!!

Xmas is coming, it's time for the proverbial 'airplane' book; just a good read, nothing too taxing!
