What? Have I broken out of the 9-year-long reader's block? And I'm still writing?? (In the same day, that is.) The last time I was able to read and write... well, it's been 14 years. That was when my mind was most awake. I felt so alive. Ideas poured out like a great river released from a life-long dam. What is it about his writing that stirs the magic in my mind once more? My stories are nothing like his.

Weeheeeeee! Action's a flyin'! I love big fights. Action everywhere. Whirling thoughts, on the edge of my seat.
Last night, I startled myself by laughing at an unexpected joke. Suddenly conscious of your body in reality? Gotta hate that when you're in the middle of having fun reading a good scene. It's like jolting yourself awake when you're having a good dream.
Summary: I LOVE it!

Sooo... I might have read for 9 hours straight until nearly 5 AM. No regrets! It kept me on the edge of my seat until I knew I needed sleep. I love the characters' humor and ingenuity. And such a satisfying amount of plot twists! (I write like that, too. It's my favorite thing to do. Lol. A reader can't have fun if the writer isn't!) Such a fun read. ^_^ I can't wait to see where the wild ride will take me next!

WHOAH! I'm shaking. I'd read more, but my mom and sister are suddenly being impossibly loud at the moment. Later!

Weeeee! I'm reading like a dragon's chasing after me! I haven't read this much this fast ever since I read Inheritance! ...Four years? Wow. ...WEEEEEEE! Okay, now I'm overdoing it. *doesn't care* WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Ohhhhhhh my gosh! It's so intense, it hurts! Literally! I tend to tense up under stress. Every muscle in my body is tight and sore. *stretches, moves around* Okay, I'd better read what happens next! Whew!

It's weird when I start reading a book for the first time in a long time and can't quite grab the feel of the book at first. I think it's the tug-of-war between the stubbornness of my writing side ("Keep writing! Keep writing! Don't stop, or you'll end up with writer's block again!") and my reading side ("You need to take a break! Your writing is feeling a bit dull!"). Well, I think my reader's side won. Loving it!

Ooh! Thrill! Exciting! And hey, I read that chapter in 15 minutes! (I was on break.) (I hate having to stop in the middle of a chapter. It always makes it hard to pick up where I leave off.)

Whoops! It's 2 AM! Well, I read 10 pages, anyway.

At almost half-way through the book, I still couldn't grasp what all was going on in the book. It just wasn't clear. The way it dragged on without much going on made it worse. I probably won't finish it, but I appreciate learning something about myself through it: My brain works best with, and my book preference is, a fast, exciting read with a down-to-earth voice and a clear, simple explanation of events that occur.

I read a page because I was waiting at my sister's foot doctor appointment. I had to stop because I was hungry, having had no time to sit and eat my usual after-work snack. I was pooped. A well-placed chapter/scene break in a chapter left me off in a good spot. Good little things, they are. I like using them when I'm writing, too.

Will it ever end? Or will it ever begin? Poor lady. (Why, of course I'm being cryptic. Spoilers are the worst things, you know.)

Whoops! It's 3:49 AM! Gotta go to bed. Leaving off on Chapter 12: Cushions. ...Wait. Chapter 12, already?! Time flies. Like a little dragon. ^_^

Terrific so far! It's keeping me on the edge of my seat! I like books that start with a bit of mystery and action.
