I *think* I'm enjoying this...I'm going to have to see how it turns out. But I must say--Jason Rekulak keeps mentioning Waffle House, with their farmers omelette and strawberry pancakes. And I am 99.9% sure he means IHOP and this is driving me crazy. One part even mentions going to "brunch" at Waffle House, and I'm like, what bougie WaHo is this?

Reading in preparation for Percival Everett's "James"

I truly thought this was just another overhyped dragon-fantasy-weak-yet-chosen-badass girl trope. But it's so good. I'm not sure if it's because the audiobook is so well done or what, but I just want to listen nonstop.

I read this 10 years ago and thought it was "okay." In that decade the Maas-verse has exploded. Giving it another go so that I can actually read the entire series.
