The way SenLinYu carves NUANCE into every facet of this book is a breath of fresh air in 2025. I am currently in the middle of Part 2, and I truly cannot get over how much craft goes in to framing war, its harm and effects.

I know everyone is rating this 5 stars, but the FMC’s mom is super abusive and selfish in a lot of the ways my mom is. And I wanna punch the FMC for kissing up to her/trying to please her. It’s a stellar romance, but i don’t know if I’ll be able to rate it.

I can’t remember the last time I hated MCs as much as I hate these characters. I’m honestly so bummed book 2 ends the way it does, so I can’t DNF this nightmare.
