This is one of Mr Billinghams better than average offerings really chilling in places, it's one of those books you'd like to able to read in one sitting.

Finished the book and it's up to Mr Billingham excellent standard.

Starting to come together didn't think this would suit my style of reading but I sort of became involved with the characters though. I Must admit { first thought it was going to be Downton Abbey all over again!

up to his usual standard what else his is an exceptional writer

On this reread I didn't find it as good as the first read! Which I was surprised by as I found I had forgotten most of the story Perhaps I have progressed in life where this type of story does not appeal as much as almost 30 years ago when I first red it.

not bad I do like most of her storeys

considering its her debut with D.I Jane Tennison its not bad. but I did prefer the T.V series which is unusual as normally I much prefer any book rather than the T.V or film version
