Another gem from Chaon. I love his writing style and offbeat characters. I will likely finish this in a couple of days.

Picked this back up after a month off from reading. It’s still so fun and I’m wondering where two more books will take this trilogy.

I’ve been mostly not reading lately but this has been a lot of fun. Bloody, funny and not typical fantasy and yet it has all the elements.

This happens every summer. I slam the breaks on reading but it doesn’t mean this isn’t fantastic cause it is.

My first time reading Abercrombie and it’s a lot funnier than I imagined.

So funny and scarily believable in some ways.

Off to a fun start.

I love Straub’s writing style.

Langan’s writing is such a pleasure to read. Very few, if any chapter breaks, it reads like you really are sitting across and listening to the most captivating storyteller recall a true story. Just like the The Fisherman was literary horror at it’s finest, this first novel doesn’t feel like a first at all.

It’s addictive. I really hope it sticks the landing because I’m fully swept up in the mystery of the setting.

Trial by Fire is worth the purchase alone… what a collection. Another banger from David Grann.
