So far, I feel like the writing in this novel is very forced. In some places, the author seems to think she needs to fit in information for the reader and so she finds an awkward way to squeeze it in.

This is fun chicklit, with a side of dal, the lentil dish Samir makes repeatedly for Mili. The pace is moving quickly like a Bollywood dance scene.

Ugh, this book is taking for-ev-er! Trying to skim through it just to finish.

What am I missing? Why is this supposed to be one of the best books ever? I'm not seeing it yet...

Such a very beautifully written book, that I just cannot get into. I'm sure you have to be in the right state of mind.
