Parts 4 and 5 significantly better to a modern reader, though the purple prose is not to my taste.

Story Four: daughter cursed with aging backward and her friends are, among other things, jealous of her youth.
Sigh. I had forgotten that presumption that women had to be catty and jealous.

Part 3: charming in structure but eyes rolling

Part Two and Three: This reminds me of when they banned smoking in restaurants.

I feel like I can feel the story structure poking through the tale like springs on an understuffed couch.

Possibly the most horrifying antagonist I have ever read.

Wonderful turns of phrase, but Miranda's self absorbed delusions nearly had me DNF'ing. I have hopes she will move past this.
