I love the book! Philip is hot, broody and moody. Casey is unapologetic, bold and fierce! I can’t put the book down, LOL!

Chapter one is sooo well written!

So far three chapters read and all three are PERFECT! I’m going to continue to read on quickly… I’m loving this book!!!

"How is my dancing with you a waste of time?"
"Well, should you not be threshing out the chaff from the wheat among the eligible young women who are interested in marrying you?" she asked.
"Ah." He nodded in understanding. "I suppose I should. And which are you? Chaff or wheat?"
"Me?" She was surprised by the question, but not so much that she could not answer. "I am sugar cane, hard to cut."

"He misses your father, husband."
"He is a dog, wife," Ross said dryly.
Annabel turned over in bed so she could see his face and said, "Aye, but dogs are not solitary creatures, husband. They are used to a pack. Your father was Jasper's pack.

Can’t they just use each others’ names?!

Greer pulled the cork from the wine with a loud pop, and Buddy, her dog, came running. It was the only sound he got up for. (..) But open a bottle of wine, and he was suddenly Pavlovian. She held the cork out for him to lick, and he went to town. 'He only likes red. Have you noticed the dirty look I get when he comes running only to realize it’s white and he got up for nothing?'

What is it with this writer; why does she have to make the ‘Hero’ the ultimate jerk?! This time it’s Max, who teaches men that 'Women are like dogs. They like to know you’re in charge. '
Are you kidding me?!!

Rex is a total douche bag!! Some of his comments:

'You know who takes six-week vacations? Losers.'
'No way would you be able to go to Tokyo on your own steam, You’re a wage slave in Manhattan.'
'Romantic vacation? Is your boyfriend an axe murderer?'

First she muttered that her boss is late! while she’s on her first day at the job - REALLY?! Then says she ‘needs to pee’ during an official meeting with staff, and then says ‘we slept together’ to Liams brother?!

Okay, they SLEPT in the same hotel room but after Liam turns out to be Annie’s boss, why oh why don’t they just both pretend they don’t know each other and that’s that? The whole drama surrounding their meeting at the office is way over the top!

I love Rosemary!

The environment is sleek gray marble and steel, like an elegant and slightly futuristic prison. No outside decorations are allowed, not even in the deepest recesses of your cubicle.' Seriously?!

'My IQ has taken a high-speed elevator to the lower level parking garage where cavemen chisel away at their square wheels.' 😂😂😂

'I show her my favorite building, the Pimlicon in Melbourne. “Look at how porous it is. It doesn’t block anything, it doesn’t impose its will.” I show her the curved greenery transitions. “See how it invites and engages?”
She takes the phone, studies the Pimlicon. “Like a dance.'

I found myself googling this building to see if it existed (I wasn’t surprised it did) and studying the pictures. Cool!!

What’s really annoying, is that a chapter ends with a scene and the next chapter doesn’t continue there, but fast forwards several hours or days. You are left wondering what happened, and don’t always find out right away.

Not much going on, but this scene is ridiculous:
'let me tell you, wife, what to expect from me. I do intend to use my tongue”—she made a face—“to entice you to consummate our marriage this eve.'

Okay, Ethan sues Liz and files for an injunction, and the judge orders them to figure it out together before labor day. Fair enough, but it they don’t come up with a good plan she’s going to throw them in jail and fine them $500 for each day they don’t have an agreement. REALLY?! Weirdddd!

I had to wrestle through the first couple of chapters, because the story started a bit slow, but now I’m at chapter 10 and it is picking up.

There is A LOT of swearing in the book - and I hate that.

I expected more of this book. I read an excerpt and it was very promising so I bought the book. But after the H and h were married, it was all about ‘How long can I stay mad at her?’ and how much sex they can have because the H is lusting after her all the time, and the h sees having sex as him loving her. Okaaaayyy

I’m at chapter 9. The pace of the story is so slow!!

I don’t get it. Edmund Rutland wants to take revenge on Margaret, so he decided to ruin and marry her niece Honoria, but in order toget to her, he courts her friend Phoebe?! Honoria doesn’t trust him so how on earth will he succeed in trapping Honoria by fake-courting her friend??

I’m really enjoying the book but the heroine is constantly toppling over, crashing into things or falling to the ground - four times already! Quite too much for my liking. It makes her look stupid.

I’m at chapter 7, 8 and I’m starting to sjip pages…

I hate the cats!! Why waste pages on a stupid cat?! Skipping now!

Okay, they’ve never had romantic feelings for each other, nothing, and suddenly after they decided to marry, Nicholas is physically attracted to her? When he referred to Georgiana as almost a sister? Weird…
