This book is a masterpiece and there's nothing that even closely approximates it in my experience. My wife is from that part of SW Virginia, so I fell I can fully appreciate what Kingsolver is doing here. Listen to it if you can (on audible). It's music to the ears. And don't speed up more than 1.25x.
