Some of this advice feels icky and dated. Idrgaf about “keeping a man” or if he’s a “visual creature”. This book is already really heteronormative stuff but theres some boomer shit in here about making sure he doesnt stray and stuff that is just straight up bullshit. Im glad he cut it down bc the little i read i hated. The men hes describing do not sound like men modern women are into being with 😂

Its also a bit frustrating because ad hominem attacks are not good arguments so like why bother? Its not just a complaint or a one off hate comment its like a big portion of the book so far and I’m guessing for the rest of the book as well.
I would think from a book called “how to be a GOOD atheist” we would be setting a better example. Like I didnt read this book to slag myself off.

Ngl the language that peddles this atheist supremacy makes me feel a bit guilty. Like I have no problem talking about why atheism or secular humanism is better and way less harmful than religion but i dont like ad hominem attacks on christians. I just dont think putting down christians as people is a good way of promoting atheism. I am all for hating on islam or christianity BUT NOT christians or muslims. (1/2)
