This is just a scattered re-read and refresher simply because I don’t have the time to genuinely sit down and read it anymore.

I am not sure why this book is on my mind opposedto the movie but i’m going to re-read it just because.

This is a very belated read but nevertheless i’ve been looking forward to start it.

I am genuinely curious to see if I still have proper enjoyment reading this despite a number of cringe moments and getting the idea of how certain characters were handeled…

I’m trying to properly to finish this before the Amazon series comes out so I can point out what they got wrong if I choose to watch it.

This is debatably more complicated than the Silmarillion because Tolkien dives into the development of his great creation but it is also a somewhat easy read because I haven’t had to read the same sections multiple times to engrave it into my brain (not yet least). I am only 4 short stories in and I am enjoying it. Much like the first book they focus on background characters prior too getting into established characters. The background drama is honestly rather entertaining
