I get irrationally annoyed by these little asides Maas inserts to try to remind us that Feyre is a painter and sees the world as scenes for potential paintings. Like, Feyre barely painted anything in the last book and nothing in this one. It’s not relevant in the middle of a scene about a war council. Let’s just accept that’s not the cornerstone of her character you wanted it to be and move on.

So Tamlin is both boring and controlling? Very Edward Cullen coded. It’s stretching my credulity that we have to consider him a legitimate point in this inevitable love triangle.

I got this as an ebook from the library and so did not realize it’s 641 pages?! 😅
