Found this in a LFL :) already invested in these story lines.

Still don’t really understand what this book is about or why every character is so traumatized. Hoping for an ending that explains it all though.

Thoroughly addicted to this book

Very dreamy, fast paced, yet suspenseful. I’m hooked and thinking about it when I can’t read it!

Found this in a little free library. I read Light on Snow every 5 years in January as tradition. The writing is so addicting and happening right during this time of year presently

Couldn’t tell you what’s happened in this book or what it’s dragging on for when the end could come together rather quickly

I’m def liking this still and continuing to think every character is a cat. I also want to call out that I don’t like different chapter POVs that repeat the same scenario but from each POV. If it was all in the same chapter/part it would flow much better IMO.

Since I’ve now started it I have no idea why I wanted to read it so badly or why I waited months for it on Libby. This is a nonfiction account of an 18th century English warship crossing the Atlantic into the Drake Passage !?!? Essentially the Donner Party on sea. Every description is one of hell!! I guess I’ll finish it but it’s v random

DNF at 26%!!! WHAt Is with all the domestic abuse in every chapter? So that doesn’t change if his name is different? Then this book is not about name entomology, but violent domestic abuse. Huge bummer.

Ope this is as far as we got for the whole trip. Will I continue listening/get the book? Unsure

I waited months and months for this book from the lib. Am I already hating it? Domestic abuse HEAVY and for what?? I did not know that was the theme.

This book got so dark so randomly with the fleeing from Russia?? Prob my least fave book the pod has done!!

Started this on a whim. I was instantly enthralled. The writing is addictive. I already understand that the point is to make us feel sympathetic towards Ansel and perhaps excuse or forgive him for murdering multiple women. I’m always most interested about the “why” when it comes to violent crimes, and this is an entire story on that. So far, it’s been very sad 😔

For once I’m hooked on a mystery novel!!
