⋆˙⟡🕯️.𖥔 ݁ ˖ Picked up this read after seeing a tiktok on what to read while waiting for Practical Magic 2. This has to be my first ever murder mystery book and it’s so cozy! I’m enjoying it so much so far. Truly a grab a cup of coffee or chai tea and a chunky blanket for this one. Happy reading ♡

⟢ Only about 60 pages in and this boook is giving everything cozy! Love it so far ♡

⋆˙⟡ The premise of this book is amazing! Just be aware that this book can be triggering. But so far the book is great; I hope it becomes a movie. I’m at 100 pages so far so hopefully it continues to be just as good.

༘⋆ Then on page 70 it says “For the love of all the evil that, in those days, the pair put into them. And ply them with that evil still, to keep up the work of demons, is what brings the others back.”

I’m not quite sure what’s going on but the boy admitting he could be ‘bad’ was unnerving. 🪞

⋆˚꩜｡ I honestly don’t know what I expected of this book. Honestly I had no preconceived notions before picking it up other than it looks like a cozy read. It just feels like I’m watching a true crime case in paper and I don’t like that. I should have read reviews - but I hate getting spoiled! Still I’ll persist. ⋆˚࿔

𑣲☕︎ Was recommended this book as a ‘spooky’ read - so far not much has happened. (To be fair I did just start it.) Hoping it’s a good read! 🕯️

Will finish this book later on in the year; stopped at pg 108.

.˚⊹.🎃₊˚𖦹⋆ Picked up this book at B&N because it’s giving very much autumn. I didn’t know this was a second book to a series … oh well. I haven’t read anything with witches. And the whole worshipping false gods and reading about the devil is very uncomfortable for me. I thought it would be more cutesy spooky vibes than gross occult. Whoops.

Stopped at pg 167

🌼 Finishing up this book because i just got the second one! I’m so excited for the autumn setting in the second book. I’m so over summer and am just ready for cozy season.

☕️ My time with this lovely professor is coming to a close and I am so genuinely sad about it. Stoner has become such a comfort for me. However this book ends - Stoner is a pivotal person in my literary life and I will miss him when I finish this book.

☕️ Don’t tell me it’s going to end with his end!

☕️ I can’t believe when Edith returns she admits to herself that she’s been pretending to be ill and weak! So she was being a burden on purpose? This is insane. And she comes back to declare “war” on Stoner? Like girl what? She’s the one that wanted to get married quickly and has been weirdly taking revenge on Stoner as if it is solely his fault that they’re married.

☕️ Edith is such a miserable person. I don’t understand why she would have wanted to get married so quickly if she would simply turn into a self-absorbed miserable gremlin. I really don’t like her. Maybe she has redemption or maybe this is supposed to show Stoner’s obscure way in living someone who is a void.

☕️ Edith’s is annoyingly tardy all the time. I just learned that sometimes she has ‘fits’ due to a health reason. Maybe that had something to do with it. But I hate how emotionally void she seems.
