Although Elsa is a first rate bitch. She definitely was a Nazi despite her justifications. Disappointing really because she wasn't wrong, but she also was a nasty racist.

The end of this book is giving me all the feels. My grandmother grew up in WW2 Germany. Elsa's justifications are not entirely wrong here, many Germans did go to work for the Nazi's in order to protect their families and survive. It isn't right, it is morally wrong, but humans basic instinct is survival right? ALL THE FEELS.
