Plodding through this one. It is well written, but not really enjoying it

I selected this book because this month's book group was to read a book with a space theme. I will say that outside of the old television series "lost in space", (I loved it as a child) I am not really a fan of science fiction or space themes. So it is no surprise that I am not getting a lot out of the story. It is just too weird for me! But I shall persevere. Wish me luck!

Reading for a book group I belong to otherwise, I would have abandoned this a long time ago.

And still not liking it. I'm afraid this goes back to the library tomorrow and in the DNF pile.
