A great read. Some hard science, which I appreciate, but it doesn’t overshadow the narrative arc. I love Rocky and Grace’s interactions and friendship. Weir’s writing is so enthusiastic and nerdy. I felt for the both the human and Eridian. Well worth it.

I loved this book. Tweedy writes about music like someone who’s made of it….it clearly shaped him, and still does. The clear and casual honesty that comes through when you read this is obvious, and it’s a joy. I found myself nodding frequently, being moved by his descriptions of songs and artists that molded him and how he fits into this world. Just a stellar piece of writing on the power of music.

An excellent book on finance, money, and psychology generally. One of the best I’ve read, actually.

Book 2 down…these books are great because while thicc boys, they’re entirely engaging. The best aspect of these books is the character development, you feel as though you really get to know them and their strengths and weaknesses…they’re fully fleshed out individuals. Then there’s Avasarala, who has the best lines in the book (by far). She’s hilarious, but also the baddest of asses. Very entertaining. On to book 3…

This was an extraordinary book. Recommend for anyone, especially for those who already struggle with inattention due to ADHD, like myself. Meticulously researched and cited, enlightening, discouraging, and motivating. It ends on a somewhat optimistic note, thankfully.
Hari’s writing is neither pedantic or too academic. He’s engaging as you go on this cultural journey with him. Highly recommended.

A great read. Moor exhibits a graceful balance of entertaining narrative, science, history and personal exposés that reveal a down-to-earth (pun!) realism, both in regards to his portrayal of the people he encounters and the living history of geography and man's relationship with it. Moor's writing is engaging, erudite and enlightening. And, it's his first non-fiction book. Goddamn. Recommended, certainly.
