almost just closed the book to go have a cry. this is a little bit too hard-hitting

I’ve been reading this book since April but had to put it down about a week ago because i’ve been seething. I am so pissed off. I need every single woman in this book to divorce their husbands. Every. Single. One. I am so annoyed that no one believes her and that her husband is treating her like this. It’s actually taking my enjoyment out of it.

Anyway I’m having bacon tonight!

I’m still annoyed at the decisions and also why is Pruett mad at her like that? And why did Luca do that like… idk it’s a little bit of a reach

some of these motivations and decisions are starting to frustrate me

For a second there I thought this would Not be a slow burn romance but then “that’s got to be the worst kiss I’ve ever had. If you’re going to pretend to want me, you’ll need to pretend harder” 😭

So she gets taken hostage - beaten relentlessly by rebels. The troops find her and save her. Then she gets blamed for another soldier’s death because he was killed by her weapon? That was obviously taken from her when she was kidnapped? This makes absolutely no sense.

Unfortunately I don’t remember what happens after this… sucks

First part! Kind of long and a little bit of a slog, but interesting enough when you know there’s a twist coming.

I just finished chapter ten 💔 I was NOT expecting this book to be that serious if I have to be honest… I’m so hurt 😭
