It fictionalises the lives of real Scottish artists Robert 'Bobby' MacBryde & Robert Colquhoun. They met at Glasgow School of Art in 1933 and went on to conquer the London artworld as the bombs fell. Been recovering from a scary accident...been treating myself to a rereread of Tales of the City. I've finally read the Ripley novels (most). And caught up with some books by pals. Reviews soon! They were charismatic art celebrities - collected by all, photographed by Vogue, filmed by Ken Russell. 'The Two Roberts' is my love-letter to these queer Scottish pioneers. Out: Sept 2025.

Writin, cowriting, rewriting, all the writing!

Been in a bit of a reading rut of late--partly because I'm writing a novel and fearful of contagion but also because my attention span has been hammered by The World. So I have been rediscovering poetry (inc audiobooks) and novellas and they're really lifting my spirits and reading confidence no end! I'll share some recommendations soon. Happy reading!
