Hört sich ja toll an und so, aber ich kann mich nicht erinnern, dass überhaupt mal erklärt wurde, was diese "spirituellen Ebenen" sein oder für was es gut sein sollte.

Das ist eine großes Problem, das ich mit diesem Buch habe. Es hört sich immer gut an, aber wirklich erklärt wird nur wenig.

I like how the author handled the part with the salt mines and Celaena’s injuries. It’s a gruesome backstory to have in a Young Adult book, but it wasn’t described in an overly graphic way, which I appreciated.

I actually liked the chapter with the crystals. It wasn’t really a whole bunch of new information, but I’d never thought about their shapes serving different purposes, and the book pointed that out to me.

I didn’t like the chapter with the zodiac signs, though; I was kind of offended by it. Still, I learned something new — even if it was only because I took my frustration to Google and gained a new perspective.

I kind of loved the ending :)

I have a lot of ups and downs with this book. On the one hand, it's beautifully written; on the other, it's going dreadfully slow sometimes.
