Not nearly enough research was done for this book, and by that I mean not even the bare minimum. He’s a goalie? The cover is the MMC wearing the completely wrong gear. The descriptions for what he does at practice and in games also make 0 sense for a goalie.

I’ve listened to so many books narrated by Alex Kydd with no issue. Why is this one so cringey?? The way he’s approached this book makes all of the male characters sound like over the top asshole cartoon characters.

No one wrecks me the way Tahereh does. Her prose, her emotion, her angst… it’s all completely unparalleled.
