Sanderson is really drawing out the introduction of my favorite characters 😔 Instead, I get to watch people try to do politics 😣 At least I’ve got a murder to solve, and detective Lightsong is on the case 🕵️‍♂️

I actually don’t mind Sanderson’s humor, but Lightsong could talk less and I’d be fine with that. I miss my friend Vasher and his cool sword. Give Nightblood more screen time please.

I really sympathize with Mark Watney bc my favorite chapter so far has been off Mars. Poor Mark won’t be getting off Mars for a while.

I can’t believe I finished it either. All that’s left are the acknowledgments.

Liking What You See: A Documentary: a cool thought experiment. I think I liked it. He presented a lot of plausible arguments very well. I’m not sure if it’s my favorite story format, but it was fine.

I liked the story notes included at the end too. 👍

Hell Is the Absence of God: I actually quite liked this one, now that I’m more familiar with novelettes not written by Ted Chiang. Do I know what the message is supposed to be? No sir. But I sure will think about it.

Zuko and his honor would probably find this book deeply relatable.

Bujold (and Jane Austen actually) does this thing where she uses words I know, in contexts that I’ve never heard before. Must be bc these books are old old old. 1986 is almost as long ago as 1813 right?
